People aren't willing to give up their holiday this year if they can help it. Instead, a survey reveals, they are looking for the best value destination they can find.
As the credit crunch bites, people may be cutting back on luxuries but are not, it seems, ready to give up their annual holiday. Now, they are looking for the best value destination for their holiday pound.
Travel Expert, Bob Atkinson from travelsupermarket.com has said that many people will be assessing their holiday plans this year, with changes in the types of holidays and destinations chosen.
They found in a recent poll that 49% of people are assesing their 2009 holiday plans and that almost a fifth are looking for a cheaper holiday this year.
Atkinson believes that holiday-makers are becoming far more savvy when searching for holiday deals, many choosing all inclusive holidays to cut costs, paying attention to exchange rates, and looking to areas outside of the euro zone.
