After the arrest of two Britons in Dubai for having sex on the beach, we reveal how many British tourists admit to the same act.
Following the sentencing of two Britons in Dubai for having sex on a public beach, a survey has found similar incidents to be a common occurrence.
According to a recent survey, more than a quarter of all British tourists admit to having indulged in the amorous act by the sea.
A massive 26% of respondents claim to have had sex on the beach whilst on holiday.
This figure rose to 36% in under 30's, while 19% of over 40's also admitted to the act.
Of those questioned, 90% said that the media light shed on the Dubai case would make them think before doing so again.

What's clear then is that having sex on the beach is by no means a unique case, and it is something that holiday makers should be aware of while abroad.
Andrew Gibson from DirectHolidayBookings.co.uk, who commissioned the survey, says, "People tend to be far more relaxed whilst on holiday and perhaps do things that they would never consider at home."
While in the UK the act would sometimes, but not always be prosecuted for, many countries are not as liberal as the case in Dubai has proved.
Many places, such as Asia, Africa and the Middle East, would consider sex in a public place as a serious offence.
