Have you ever thought about playing golf or does your partner play, and you can't join in as they are better than you?
Buying clubs requires a major outlay particularly if you then find that you don't like or haven't a flare for the sport. Attending a golf academy could well be the answer. You are immersed in the game, and either come out wanting to play or know for certain that it is not for you.
La Manga Club in South East Spain, in the Murcia Region, is a man-made resort covering six square kilometres. The complex is self-contained with a 192 bedroom five star de-luxe hotel, the La Manga Club Principe Felipe, and Las Lomas Village which has self contained apartments.
There are three eighteen-hole golf courses- The North which is par 71,the West par 72, and the South which is par 73, the longest of the three and considered the championship course. To play on the South, you have to have a handicap. There is also a short, par 47, 18-hole pitch and putt course.
Inscribing in the golf academy also means that you don't have to worry about clubs as they lend them to you. Of course, attending the academy doesn't mean that you have to be a beginner. Depending on the numbers and the standard of play, the participants are broken up into groups. The three hour a day course starts on Monday so by Thursday, the last day you should be out of the school and onto the golf course to put what you have learnt into action. There is also a dress code, which differs if you are male or female, so you have to make sure you bring the correct gear or fork out at their shop.
