Feeling festive yet? You may be if you take a look at what you'll find in Germany at the Munich Christmas markets from the 28th of November.

From the 28th of November the city of Munich will transform into a magical wonderland of sparkling lights, the smell of delicious food being freshly prepared and laughter and music will fill the air.
According to town records, Munich's markets date back to around the 14th Century and when the good citizens of the town went on a spending spree at the "Nicholas Market" near the Frauenkirche.
Located in the heart of the city, these festive markets offer locals and tourists from all over the world the chance to browse some fantastic stalls, for children to take part in arts and craft and cookery workshops and some hand crafted gifts made by local artists that you wouldn't be able to find back home.

As you stroll around the festive stalls you can enjoy the seasonal music and choirs singing whilst you hunt out some sparkly gifts or decorations for your Christmas tree back home.
Some of the Bavarian Christmas gifts you'll find include wood carvings, gingerbread, stunning glassware, candles, crib figurines and much more for you to choose from.
There are numerous festive markets dotted around the city over the weeks leaded up until the big day. The main market takes place on Marienplatz square, and throughout the city there are other markets to suit your taste. As well as carols and Christmas trees you'll also be able to step back in time to a Medieval Christmas market, complete with gospel singing or there's even a winter market at Munich airport!
