By Godfrey Hall
With the majority of the main sights in walking distance Brussels is a great city to explore. A real favourite of mine, every time I go I always seem to find somewhere new.
After a quick visit to the Mannekin Pis why not try some of my top five tips
In the centre of the city the Grand Place oozes character.
Dominated by the amazing Gothic town hall take a look up at the buildings that surround you and in particular the wonderful carvings.
Many of these incredible guild house date back centuries. Considered by many as one of the most attractive town squares in Europe you should also explore some of the narrow streets which lead off the square.
Here you will be able to buy a range of wonderful Belgian biscuits and chocolates.
The square is often used for major events such as the Ommegan, a historical procession or the Flower Carpet when the square with awash with plants.
Before you leave why not have a drink at one of the many open air cafes?
