Get the low-down on Barcelona's great nightlife; Sky Travel look at the city's bars and clubs from a local's perspective
Barcelona is known as much for its nightlife as it is for sun, sea and sangria. And what a great nightlife it is. Katie Silcox gives us the low-down on where to go and what to see
There are things about Barcelona you’ll probably never discover unless you live there. Luckily, I have friends that do, and visiting allows me to appreciate the city as a local (thanks Gaby!)
Of course, doing it like a local means relaxed Tapas-style dining late into the evening. For more information on Barcelona dining, then see our Catalan Cuisine video. But if you want to take the night further then listen up because here are the hidden gems...
Club: Mojito
Location: Eixample
Mojito is a favourite with many of Barcelona's party people - and with good reason. Arrive at this club early enough and you'll find yourself joining in with salsa lessons from a dance teacher! To the left...to the right....
Once the lessons are over, the real party begins - put what you've learned into practice when the live band begins playing the Spanish favourites - and you can salsa ‘til morning.
Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for Ronaldinho as he has been spotted dancing his fancy feet off in here.

Bar/Restaurant: Café Salambó
Location: Gracia
Barcelona nightlife isn't all about the bars and clubs, so for a less hectic evening head to Café Salambo.
A place to enjoy whether you're looking for food or drink, sit on the terrace and enjoy a meal chosen from Salambo's range of international cuisine. Or relax with friends over a bottle of fine wine.
It might be best to book if you're a big group heading out for a meal, and be aware that tables may be allocated to those eating over those drinking.
Choose your wine, then relax
