Now, I'm by no means a wine fanatic. Sure, I like the odd glass or two as much as the next girl; however I've never really known too much about where it comes from or how it's made. Until now.
Having recently arrived home after a wine tasting trip to Caves Saint Pierre in the Rhone Valley, Southern France - I have officially been educated that there is more to wine than just Red, White, or Rosé.
In just a few days I've learned so much about the wine making processes, and what's more, been immersed in the traditions and cultures of a fascinating region.

The village of Châteauneuf du Pape is well known amongst wine connoisseurs and is the name emblazoned onto many a wine bottle label - it is also where I stayed for three days to learn about the region's famous wines.
And, although predominantly known for its wine production, both the village and its surrounding area offer a wealth of activities - wine or no wine.
