Air New Zealand are using naked cabin staff for in-flight safety messages in a new series of videos played on their domestic routes.
Cabin crew, ground staff, even airlines pilots have appeared nude in a series of videos for Air New Zealand.
Wearing only body paint, drawn to resemble their work clothes and uniforms, these brave Kiwis have appeared in front of camera as part of Air New Zealand's "Nothing to Hide" campaign, which messages their all inclusive fare pricing.

Most interestingly, the naked staff have also been used in an in-flight safety video, of the kind normally played while taxing for take-off.
Called "Bare Essentials" it details such things as buckling your seat belt, using oxygen masks and finding your life jacket.
Now in use on some of Air New Zealand's domestic routes, the revealing body paint may well have its intended effect of keeping people watching - especially seasoned passengers, many of whom choose to ignore the cartoon safety videos used by many airlines.

"Safety is paramount and non-negotiable at Air New Zealand", said the company's General Manager for Marketing Steve Bayliss, "and we wanted to find a way to deliver these important pre-flight messages to our domestic travellers in a way that was genuine, engaging and fun, while meeting all our CAA and operational guidelines.
The videos have been posted online at both Air New Zealand's website and a spin-off website at: www.nothingtohide.co.nz.
At the spin-off website you'll also find a 'behind the scenes' video detailing how the adverts were made, as well as 'blooper' outtakes from the filming.
It remains to be seen whether the safety videos will be used on Air New Zealand international routes.
