Where are Europe's best b&b's as defined by Tripadvisor, the site where readers tell, warts'n'all, how they found their accommodation?
Forget charming little inns in Provence, Tuscany or Connemara - no fewer than seven of the top 10 are in Britain!
There's little for London to be proud of, however - only one hostelry in the capital makes the list.
But astonishingly, no fewer than five are in Scotland, with Bath completing the UK super seven.
Here are the winners - with some notes on why visitors found them so special:
Voted overall best b&b in Europe, this suburban semi is miles from the capital's main attractions.
However, its Southgate location doesn't deter fans, who love the very ordinariness of the place. "No mod cons or minimalism here, just a nice cozy, well kept English home," extols the latest reviewer, who like previous visitors loves the big breakfasts and engaging hosts.
Special touch: Sightseers packed off with water and snacks.

The Avalon is one of no less than five in Scotland which made tripadvisor's top 10.
A plain-looking house on a main road, visitors nevertheless praise the big bedrooms and
"fabulous toiletries and little extras in the bathrooms", whose showers are also singled out for
praise.
But most appreciated are friendly hosts full of sightseeing recommendations.
Special touch: in-room DVD players and free wi-fi.
