What does a Travel TV Producer do when they arrive in Barbados and it's rainy? Unfortunatley for Sky Travel's Jo Ellis, this is what happened on her recent trip to the Caribbean.

When you think about the Caribbean you think of gorgeous tropical beaches and glorious weather. Don’t you?
On a recent Sky Travel shoot in Barbados we managed to time our arrival just as 3 days of dark grey skies and torrential rain pours took place. Not the best when you’re trying to film the white sands and blue skies that we know our viewers want to see. And comments like “You’re very unlucky, we only get weather like this for a few days each year” from locals didn’t really help!
Even with the best planning in the world there are some things that we can’t influence when we’r e filming out on location and the weather is one of them.
So to make the best of our week we had to radically re-schedule everything and focus on indoor attractions. Luckily there’s plenty to see and do in Barbados, and the local people are so genuine that even bad weather doesn’t put too much of a downer on things.
