Algarve Golfing Holiday Terms and Conditions

1.    This promotion is open to UK residents, aged 18 years or over who are Sky Customers. Proof of age may be required.  Employees (or family members of employees) of any British Sky Broadcasting Group company ("Sky"), companies associated with the Promotion and all affiliates of such companies may not enter the Promotion.

2.    To enter this promotion, all you need to do is subscribe to the weekly Sky Travel e-mail newsletter and complete the competition entry form on the webpage http://travel.sky.com/inspiration/competitions/Win-a-Golf-and-Spa-Holiday-to-the-Algarve. If you are not already a subscriber you can subscribe now by filling out the competition entry form.

3.    The promoter does not accept responsibility for network, computer or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your mail. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

4.    All entries must be received by 11.59pm on 30th November, 2009.

5.    One entry per household. Entries sent in through agents or third parties will be disqualified. Late, incomplete or otherwise ineligible entries will be disqualified.

6.    One winner will be selected at random by an independent adjudicator, from all correct and eligible entries received, on or around the closing date.

7.    The winner will be notified by email by 5pm on 15th December, 2009.

8.    This prize will be for 2 people and includes :-

       (i)   Seven night stay at Grande Real Santa Eulália Resort & Hotel Spa, staying in a double room with breakfast included.
       (ii)  A couples full body massage at the hotel spa
       (iii) Three greenfees per person per day, with buggy, at Oceânico’s Algarve golf courses
       (iii) Two return flights with Monarch to Faro from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton (summer season only) or Manchester, including airport taxes
       (iii) 8 days car hire courtesy of the Algarve Promotion Bureau (includes collision damage waiver - additional taxes may apply - excludes fuel costs)

9.   The prize is valid for travel from 4th January 2010 until 30th November 2010. The prize is subject to availability and may not be available at peak times. Travel during August is excluded.

10.   The holiday does not include travel insurance, taxes, service charges, or any other service or item not specifically described above. Please note that Monarch "flight extras" are not included in the prize (flight extras include, but are not limited to, pre-allocated seats and the carriage of hold/checked-in baggage).

11.   For the use of the car rental, the rental car driver must be at least 21 years of age and have a driver’s licence that is valid for use in Portugal. If those requirements are not met, the car rental cannot be utilised and the winner and the companion must make their own transportation arrangements.

12.    The winner and guest are responsible for their own passport and visa arrangements.

13.    There is no cash alternative to the prize and the prize is non-refundable and non-transferable.

14.    The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.

15.    The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

16.    Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the prize details beyond the Promoter's control and for any act or default of any third party supplier.

17.    The terms and conditions of any other third party supplier will also apply to the prize where applicable. If there is a conflict between third party terms and conditions and these terms and conditions, these shall take precedence.

18.    The Promoter will not be liable for any prize(s) that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.

19.    If a winner is not able or available to accept the prize for any reason which is beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, then the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

20.    The Promoter's decision is final and binding in all respects on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with these entry rules and conditions will be disqualified.

21.    Details of the prize winner's first name and county will be available for one month after the close of this promotion by writing to the Promoter at the address below and stating the name and date of the promotion.

22.    The names, counties and photographs of the winner may be used by the Promoter and its associated companies for post-event publicity purposes. The winner agrees to allow the Promoter to use their name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional remuneration.

23.    With regards to data protection, in addition to the use specified above, the Promoter will use the winner's, and each entrant's, personal details for the purpose of administering this competition. By entering this promotion you agree that Sky and our business partners may also use the details you give us to contact you about our products and services, and may also use your details to send you the Sky Travel weekly newsletter. The Promoter may also share your details with the Algarve Promotion Bureau who will use your details to keep you informed about their products and services.

24.    The Promoter may refuse or disqualify any entry (including winning entries) if the entrant concerned or anyone authorised by the entrant to deal with their entry, acts in a way towards the Promoter or Sky staff which the Promoter reasonably considers to be inappropriate, unlawful or offensive. If the winning entry is disqualified the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

25.    Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them when entering this Promotion.

26.    This Promotion, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.  You irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with this Promotion.
