In this video Cruise Diary, Steve Read attends the star-studded naming ceremony of the Ruby Princess.
Everyone wore red as Princess Cruises' new ship Ruby Princess was named in an elaborate ceremony. Gavin MacLeod, captain of telly’s original Love Boat series, was there to welcome everyone aboard.
The 113,000-ton ship was christened by Trista and Ryan Sutter a couple who married after meeting on an American reality TV show. A shower of red confetti shot into the air as a champagne bottle was smashed by the main pool.
In this video diary Steve Read brings us pictures of the ceremony as well as a look around this grand new ocean liner.
