In October 2008, Steve Read sailied aboard the Royal Caribbean International ship, Liberty of the Seas.
His voyage took him from Florida to the Western Caribbean along the following itinerary:
- Join the ship at Miami in Florida
- Day 1: At sea
- Day 2: At sea
- Day 3: Philipsburg, St Maarten
- Day 4:
San Juan, Puerto Rico(avoided due to Hurricane) - Day 5: "Labadee", Royal Caribbean's private beach on Haiti
- Day 6: At sea
- Day 7: Disembark Miami, stay overnight
- Flight back to the UK
