Malaysia, Truly Asia..... was what most people sung tunelessly at me when I told them I was going to Langkawi. Clearly the recent Malay tourist board ad is having some affect.
Even without the help of this little ditty Malaysia seems to be garnering much attention with great offers to Kuala Lumpur and rumours that those of us spending sterling can still get a reasonable deal. Luxury for Less has always been something of a motto of mine so with my rubbish currency I headed off to explore this celebrated country.
Langkawi is an archipelago of around 99 islands just south of Phuket. Having spent a lot of time in Thailand I knew what to expect - gorgeous, white sandy beaches, palms and hot, sultry sunshine.
