So, what do you do in Las Vegas if you don't want to gamble? Lisa Francesca Nand reveals all in our latest instalement of Handbags, Heels and Passport.

The Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, an Egyptian pyramid.... ah the Statue of Liberty. No I am not on a whistle-stop Saga coach trip across the continents but in Vegas, baby, and it sure is odd. This is my second time to this city, the first having been absolutely perfect, as there are few better ways of 'doing Vegas' than with a group of mates (in our case there were more than twenty of us for a riotous wedding) who are ready to party.
I was a bit apprehensive about coming here just as a couple. Okay, both of us are usually up for a bit (a lot...) of fun and are not afraid of a late night but surely there's nothing vaguely couple-oriented (unless you're just...er....getting to know each other or indeed getting hitched) about Vegas. As it happens I was right.
This became apparent from the moment we were waiting to check in our hotel and saw the commotion around the swimming pool. Think bad 1980s American Spring Break movie complete with bikini clad babes and beer holding bruisers with their caps on back to front, all dancing to something suspiciously Euro sounding. There was only one thing for it, we were just going to have to join them. And join them we did.

If you've never been to Vegas before it's somewhat surreal. It's so gauche that it really is brilliant. But you have to get in the mood. Once you accept that anything goes you'll have a blast.
My favourite thing to do is just walk through the hotels looking for adventures, through Paris with its indoor blue-skied galleries, through the Venetian with its gondolas and replica Rialto Bridge, through Caesar's Palace with its gilded statues and New York New York complete with indoor roller coaster and faux sky scrapers.
At night the streets are filled with groups of revellers, carrying unfeasibly huge drinks, going from hotel to hotel, casino to casino. On neither of my trips to Vegas, however, have I ever been vaguely interested in gambling. So, what to do?
