Corralejo sandunes

These are Fuerteventura's sand dunes. Featured in many TV shows and films, the dunes are today protected by a National Park. A great area to discover by foot, although do be sure to cover yourself in the sun as the breeze can be deceptively cool.

Corralejo's seas look just as inviting, certainly a far cry from the cold UK beaches at this time of year. You'll find some top-quality dining down at the harbour area, as well as the possibility to take a ferry to nearby Lanzarote.

La Palma is one of the smaller Canary Islands. Visited by fewer tourists, this green island allows visitors plenty of peace and relaxation. As do the other Canary Islands, La Palma offers a varied landscape, made up of volcanic rock formations, beaches and mountains.

Smaller even than La Pama, is La Gomera. Valle Gran Rey, seen in this photo, is a traditional village and one of the islands main tourist destinations. The isle is also provides numerous landscapes; a combination of valleys, mountains, seas and forests.

On the South of Lanzarote, you'll find Papagayo beach. The beauty of this area is clear to see, and a look to shore would reveal the white sands that lay next to the water. Nudist bathing is common in this area, but don't feel you have to join in!

This walk way beside the Maspalomas sand dunes, allows visitors a less physical walk, with the same stuning views. This couple seem to be enjoying the sun, sea, sand and palm trees.
