We all know a girl loves to shop, Jo Ellis discovers shopping in Goa:
Two things that please most of us when it comes to shopping...getting a bargain, and getting something that you know you won't see everybody else wearing in a couple of weeks.
When you go abroad the latter is usually pretty much taken care of; not everyone has the time, money, or inclination to fly away to somewhere exotic just to buy exactly the same clothes that you've chance upon.
But the first priority, the one involving your hard earned cash, well that can be a little more difficult to come across in this day and age. This, my fellow shop-a-holics, is where Goa steps in!
Goa is probably the most touristy of the Indian States, and as such is very accessible, and very easy to get around. And what's more, some of the hotels are pretty swanky too... I stayed at the Riviera Hotel in the North, and then the Park Hyatt in the South, and both were really comfortable, with the most attentive staff imaginable, and of course sizeable rooms in which to store all of your shopping.
