Luxor, another of Egypt's gems and found only five hours from the UK.
You'll feel as though you've been transported back to the land of the Pharaohs when you discover the historic city of Luxor. It's home to roughly one third of the monuments of the ancient world - it's a fascinating place to explore.
As well as bustling bazaars and busy markets you'll also find age-old monuments. Take a horse drawn 'caleche' to Luxor Temple or visit the impressive Temple of Karnak, situated just north of the city.
