Find out what happened when the Sky Travel TV crew and Jeremy Edwards took to San Francisco in Go Cars
The Sky Travel television crew took Jeremy Edwards to the United States in order to do some filming. Here Jo Ellis describes a part of their San Francisco experience - exploring the city in 'Go Cars'
We invited Jeremy Edwards (formerly of Hollyoaks and Holby) to join us, and were pleased to learn that he knew the cities well, and was able to show us some of what he loves about these places.
We started in San Francisco.
This is a city that locals describe as diverse and almost European feeling. But how to capture that on camera?
It's certainly true to say that there's no shortage of beautiful scenery, from the epic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay, to urban landscapes of towering skyscrapers, road signage and cable cars.
But capturing the atmosphere and experience of a place is a little harder. That's where you need to start travelling around a bit and talking to people.
So we toured the city in Go Cars.
These are little yellow bubble-like cars which offer a GPS guided tour of the city. A great way to cover the sights, as well as being pretty exhilarating when you drive them for the first time!
The cars only seat 2 people, so we had to take 3 out in convoy; it was, shall we say, an interesting shoot trying to drive, film and keep together whilst maintaining health and safety regulations!
