Katie Silcox reveals 5 of the world's top rollercoaster rides
Pay attention adventure lovers and excitement seekers, Sky Travel's Katie Silcox has researched the world's rollercoasters, and found some of the world's tallest, fastest and scariest models ever designed...
The world is a big place, and full of some great coasters. And, as my research for this article revealed - when it comes to the search for thrills and spills - there are a fair few rollercoasters around the world that I might still need to pay a visit...
Location: ‘Holiday Park', Hassloch, Germany
This steel rollercoaster is one of Germany's finest. Four times winner of the coveted ‘Best Coaster in the world' award, Expedition GeForce has also made records by allowing a man to spend 49 whole days (night times included) sitting on the coaster as it whizzed around its course. Designed by rollercoaster mastermind, Werner Stengal this crazy coaster will take you 1.3 km through a forest, with speeds of up to 75 miles per hour, reaching heights of 62 metres.

Location: ‘Thorpe Park', Surrey, UK
It's one of the good ‘uns, and I talk from experience. Stealth is the tallest launched roller coaster in Europe and is certainly an adrenaline pumping machine. As you're released from the starting pad you'll go from a still 0 - 80 mph in less than 2 seconds, certainly fast enough to get your pulse racing. Once you've reached the 62.5 metre peak, you're dropped almost weightlessly back down to earth. A short ride, that usually accumulates fairly big queues, but well worth waiting in, I'd say.
