Although the country is still developing and only just really opening its doors to tourists, Dubai in particular is the new hot spot for city break holidays boasting lavish hotels, clean white beaches and extensive shopping malls.

The official language is Arabic but as 85% of the country is made up of non-citizens English is spoken by many.

All seven of the emirates use the same currency UAED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) or most commonly known as Dirham.

Flights from the UK take approximately 7 hours.
