Ephesus

The Castle of St Peter
One of the best-preserved monuments in the world, the castle of St Peter was founded in the 15th century and stands strong to this day. Having been used as a prison and a store house as well as a fortification, the castle has been witness to a lot of Turkish history. Today it functions as a museum, displaying shipwrecks, pottery and glass dating from the 14th century BC through to more recent times. Located in Bodrum Harbour.

Mausoleum of Helicarnassus
One of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus was once a much revered structure. All that is left today of this once extraordinary structure are the archaeological excavations, and a part-reconstruction of the Mausoleum.
