About Nerja
Nerja is a lively Spanish town on Spain 's southern coast, one where a Moorish influence has lent a traditional feel, along with narrow cobbled streets and relaxed atmosphere. Known as the "Jewel of the Eastern Costa del Sol ", Nerja may be relaxed but it does attract many visitors during high season. The main draw is Burriana beach, the biggest and most popular beach on this part of the coast. The long promenade, Balón de Europa, is a pleasant place for a walk, and the restaurants and bars ideal for a meal or drink. Nerja is also home to many smaller beaches and coves as well, suiting anyone wanting a quieter stretch of sand to relax on.
