Crawford Art Gallery
Home to over 2,000 permanent exhibits and many more temporary pieces, the Crawford Art Gallery displays Irish and European paintings and sculptures dating from the 18th century through to more contemporary work. Perhaps the best known exhibit is that of the Greek and Roman sculptures, transported from the Vatican Museum in the early 1800s. Aimed at Cork's residents as well as national and international visitors, the Crawford Art Gallery also offers tours, workshops and lectures which actively involve their guests in the social and educational values held by the museum.
