About Laganas
Located on the southeast of the island, Laganas is Zante's most popular tourist resort, with a buzzing atmosphere and loads to see and do. It's here that the island's Loggerhead turtles nest and you can observe these fascinating creatures lay their eggs between the months of June and August. They are an endangered species, so the beach is protected, meaning watersports enthusiasts will have to go to elsewhere (Argassi beach is recommended). However, we think you'll agree, it's a small price to pay to keep these amazing animals alive in their own natural environment.
