Berlin Cathedral
This domed cathedral is the largest Protestant Cathedral in Germany. Although only built about 100 years ago, the site on which it stands has long been a religious ground - home to a Dominican Cathedral in the mid 1700's. The cathedral today is a restoration of its original self, having undergone severe damage in the Second World War. None-the-less, the Cathedral is an important part of Berlin's culture and history and is well worth a visit. Inside, richly decorated and vast arches tower over the alter, impressive stained-glass windows depicting the life of Jesus allow a yellow light to shine onto the pews, and Elector's tomb, dating to 1530, lies silently within.
Located at Am Lustgarten.
