Located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique, St. Vincent, and north of Barbados, this beautiful island is one of the Windward Islands of the Lesser Antilles, where its eastern shore gently merges with the Atlantic Ocean, and the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea. Measuring only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide its said to resemble either a mango or an avocado (depending on your taste!), this paradise, though small is filled to the brim with astonishing cultural establishments, thrilling leisure activities and a welcoming community spirit.

Inhabited well before colonial times, the islands cultural treasures range from their aged fortresses, small villages, and open-air markets, represent a fascinating mixture of its rich French inspired past and its many diverse modern traditions.

With an array of exciting and exotic activities available, you'll never be bored. For the adventurous holiday goer, exploring the islands steep coastlines reefs offers an excellent snorkelling and scuba diving experience to remember. For the site lover a visit to the rainforest preserves of St. Lucia's mountainous interior or St. Lucia's Soufriere volcano, the world's only drive-in volcanic crate would be more then a treat. Hiking, bird-watching, golf, tennis and sailing as well as great dinning and nightlife are but a few of the stimulatingly and enjoyable activities this gem of an island plays host to.
