The Bahamas certainly deserves its reputation as a playground in the sunshine. The country actually comprises some 700 islands scattered across a wide stretch of the Caribbean Sea, and, tantalisingly, not all of them are inhabited. It is said, too, that each island is both individual and unique, something that the 916,000 Bahamian people may attest to. But, they do have at least one major feature in common - the thing that puts the Bahamas at the top of many people's holiday list - a relaxing, picturesque setting of stunning beaches.
