  Well, having read the reviews, we were sure it could not be really that good but it was. Julia and Selcuk were the most welcoming hotel owners we have ever known. They really did go out of their way to make our stay fab. They treated us more like friends than customers. A previous review about guests who had booked direct being treated better than other guests had us a bit concerned but we saw absolutely no evidence of that. We had a fantastic day out to Ephesus, organised by Julia and Selcuk. They drove us there and back. Julia did the walk round the site with us and was our photographer! They then drove us to a great place for a real Turkish meal - the kind you won't get in the restaurants - and it was brilliant. Other trips were also organised for their guests. We would recommend the Merve to anyone. It is close enough to be in the centre of Bodrum in about 10 minutes but far away enough to be quiet at night. The rooms are very clean and there is ample storage space. The staff are lovely and so helpful and friendly. This was our 4th visit to Turkey and I can honestly say that the Merve is the best hotel we have stayed in - by a long way. Thankyou, Julia and Selcuk

  Nice clean well kept apartments run by a english and turkish couple 10 minute walk to the mainstream of things which is good because that makes these apartments nice and quite on a night time when sleep is needed. Enjoyed our stay at the merve staff very nice and will help in anyway that is possible and they do take time to chat to you you will find people who retuned for 10 -15 years and that speaks volumes.

  We stayed at the Merve (pronounced "Mervay")Apartments in Bodrum. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The apartments were spotless and modern, the staff were delightful, and Julia and Selcuk who run the hotel could not do enough for us and the other guests. We found there was a great range of fellow guests from tots, through young children, to teenagers, to young adults, to parents, to pensioners! The mix had something for everyone, and people enjoyed the "family" feel of the hotel. Our three teenaged daughters loved sunbathing by the pool, but also going out at night and enjoying the clubs and bars in Bodrum with other young people staying at the hotel. If you want an even more hectic scene, it's only a 15 minute taxi or minibus ride to Gumbet. Or enjoy the disco catamaran! We enjoyed great days out with fellow guests on boat trips to the coves, beaches and islands near Bodrum. Bodrum itself is beautiful, with its stunning castle as focal point, and brilliant restaurants and shops by the dozen. Merve Apartments are so good, it's not surprising we found guests there who'd been more than half a dozen times before.

  We love the Merve. If you are looking for a relaxing and chilled holiday well this is the place for you. Be prepared to be well looked after by Julia,Selcuck and the staff. Myself, my husband and 2 children travel alot but we always look forward to returning to the Merve. The appartments are spotless and the pool, pool bar and snack area has a great friendly atmosphere. The greatest compliment I can give the Merve is that year after year so many guests keep returning and it is also really nice to meet the new guests whom often then return themselves. The apparments are a short walk from the town (10 minutes) so not too far to walk but just enough distance not to be bothered by bars and clubs if you have young children. Bodrum has many great bars and clubs and fabulous shopping. If you enjoy markets and boat trips or would like to eat in one of Bodrums many great restaraunts especially the Hong Kong, then Julia and Selcuck will be only too happy to arrange this for you also they put on a lovely BBQ with fab mezes and local talented turkish dancers. (Efe your great) oh and for those british people who fancy who enjoy their british food Josie's fish and chips are the best you will ever taste. To sum up the Merve appartments the Julia, Selcuck and the staff are the most friendliest and helpful people you will meet, everywhere is spotless and comfortable the food and beer is great and nothing is too much trouble.   Apartments are clean and fresh, nice pool and bar. Air condition works perfect ( very helpful in july:)), nice clean bathroom with a good shower. The owners and hotel staff are a great, helpful and pleasant team. Apartments are located in a quiet area, about 10 min walking distance to bar street and old market, 10 min - to the bus station. I absolutely recommend these apartments and would love to stay there again!
