October 6,2008:
arrived at the hotel on 28/09/08 had to change rooms the first night due to excessive noise from bar. Reported broken wall fitting to shower next day it never got repaired had to hold shower to use. We was 2 of 5 english people staying there the rest was french and german. The so called entertainment was rubbish. The food was not labelled to say what it was and was luke warm at best but they did provide a microwave so you could heat it up ?most of the food looked very inedible including raw eggs on top of tomatoes at least we managed to lose a few pounds due to not being able to find something to eat most meal times.we tried to find a restaurant outside but they all sold the same food as each other ie crepes pizza spaghetti so even they were no help. The noise at night from the so called entertainment in the bar which was always in french was excessively loud. They do not cater at all for english people we did not want a english menu just something we felt we could eat . Now the good points the beach and marina the pool area and of course the sun also the friendliness of the staff who work there . -

June 12,2008:
The hotel was basic but very clean, it was adequate for our needs and great for the price we had paid. The pool area was great and there was lots of sunbeds available. We went on a half board basis, we ate in the hotel all but one night. We found the food to be repetative and abit limited. The majority of holiday makers there were french and we were often mistaken for being french. The location was great as it was only a 10 minute walk to the medina with all the shops, bars and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to the marina. We found the local beer enjoyable and very cheap. Overall we had a great time, the weather was perfect and the resort was lovely. I would return to yasmine but probably to another hotel and later in the year as the resort seems abit quiet in april. -

after booking my holiday i found this web site and was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews. in all honesty there iss a little bit of truth in all the reviews i read ,but the place is not that bad,,definetly not a 4 star hotel, but i paid £200ea for this holiday .and as they say you get wot you pay for,in this case a bit more,,so if you can get this holiday for £200-£250 i would definetly take it. ok for my review ithink some of the hotel staff could do with learning a little more english, especially at the reception. no body was rude ,,a little non understanding went on because there was mainly french speaking and spanish guest here. rooms were basic and clean,,beds made every day ect on the room(ours overlooked a building site) but this did not wake us or keep us awake at all. food- breakfast was a very good assortment (cereal-eggs-pancakes-omellette-fruit -toast ect)so there was plenty to choose from. evening meal--another assortment of food,,salad soup main courses varied(word of ADVICE-BECARECUL OF THE CHICKEN)they allways seemed to undercook it. they didnt label the food so you didnt know what you were eating at times,,POT LUCK..they did some lovely cakes for desert. the comments on some other reviews about corridors being dark are true,a little more lighting wouldnt go a miss and a lick of paint here and there,,,,but all in all i thought the hotel was pretty clean,,could do with new carpets in the hallways ,they were tatty. the pool area was very nice and there were animation teams (entertainment) going on through the day and night which was good. the local area was clean and tidy, with a beautiful marina and restaurants 400yds away when buying things you should expect to pay aa 3rd of the price the seller starts at,they can be pushy, sometimes you just have to be rude and ignore them. out and about food and most drinks a reasonably cheap(except shorts and imported beers) all in all if you can get this holiday as cheap as i did i would recommend it,,its worth the price just for b&b if you have any questions feel free to contact me amc1350@hotmail.com -
March 15,2008:
i spent one week there in march 2008. i dont know whats up with these people who rated this hotel so badly, its nothing like that, really. the food was brilliant, very tasty and always fresh. i went there with 2 friends and none of us got sick. they even gave us free drinks, although we hadnt booked all inclusive, which was nice i guess. the staff were helpful, always friendly and polite. (there was just one incident when someone wanted to set me up with some guy from the hotel which i think was kinda weird but i said no and it was ok.) the rooms were nice and not as bad as described here, there were no cockroaches, it was pretty clean. the only thing which was not that great was that it was a bit loud in the hotel, especially at night there was music playing, but it usually stopped at midnight. yasmine-hammamet is lovely!! the beach is great, mostly clean and the water is blue. the vendors are kinda pushy, but thats just tunisian mentality i guess, you just have to ignore it if you dont wanna buy anything. as a woman you get asked out a lot, if you dont want to you have to ignore that, too. just make sure you dont say ANYTHING cos if you answer they will go on and talk to you. i am definitely thinking about going there again, as it was already pretty warm in march, the sun was shining and it wasnt raining at all. i just wouldnt go in the summer, i can imagine that its very crowded then and therefore louder at night. when i went there, there were not many tourists and it was calm and nice. so dont let these bad reviews influence your decision on your holiday, me and my friends really loved it and the people we talked to in the hotel liked it, too.
