November 13,2009:
Had a great 4 night stay at the BW Time Hotel. A bit complicated to get to from the Flygbussarna bus stop so I would recommend taking the Arlanda Express to the central station and then the subway to Odenplan station located a short walk away from the hotel. The room was clean, modern and quite spacious with comfortable beds, flat screen tv, free wifi, heated tile floors in the washroom and good natural and lamp lighting. Grocer at the base of the hotel was very handy as well. The staff was courteous and resolved a BW travel card issue promptly. Breakfast was tasty and nicely varied. -
November 4,2009:
This is an excellent hotel. The location is within very easy walking distance of Odenplan station (5-7 minutes walk). Odenplan is easily accessed from T-Centralen on the Tubanella system. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spotless. When I arrived they had no record of my booking on their system, an admin error, but this was corrected quickly by the friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. It would cater for a wide range of tastes. I was on level 4 where the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. My room looked out over the busy main street, but you would not know this from inside the room. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was slightly frustrating, but there is a supermarket just next to the hotel so food and drink can easily be purchased. I ate in 4 different restaurants in the local area, all very pleasant, very expensive (usual for Sweden). The restaurant next the the hotel was very nice, the staff were welcoming and friendly. I also ate at an Indian restaurant called Guru. The food was very good, the service was very slow though, I think it was because it was a Monday evening. Overall i would recommend this hotel and would stay there myself again, excellent location, close to the centre of Stockholm, and an all round good hotel. -
October 30,2009:
Great hotel with a very new and fresh feel. My room on the 8th floor overlooked the main street(no problems with street noise as in a quite area). Was very clean and spacious with a comfortable double bed. Stayed 4 nights and the room was cleaned and bed made every day. Wifi connectivity could be better; as a business traveller used it extensively at night. Breakfast spread quite extensive(though same fare every day). Staff very polite and helpful. Has a bar in the reception area; no restaurants but there is an Italian one next door. Odenplan underground station is a 7-8minute brisk walk away. Nortull bus stand is apparently closer. Definitely worth the price and would recommend. -
September 15,2009:
I have nothing but praise for the hotel. Within moments of our arrival the very helpful receptionist ironed out what could have been a major problem. I am lactose intolerant and when travelling I have to carry a supply of lactose-free milk which even in the long-life version needs to be kept in a fridge. Sadly (and I'm not sure why) some - perhaps all -Best Western hotel rooms have no minibars which double as a fridge. I was aware of this from checking the website and was wondering how to get round it. Having understood the problem, without missing a beat the receptionist upgraded us from a standard double to a studio - complete with everything for self-catering, including a fair-sized fridge. The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Some might find the minimalist decor off-putting but we loved it. As a non breakfast eater I can't comment on the food but my other half reported it to be excellent. The neighbourhood is quiet, apart from when the binmen come round in the early morning. For those not wishing to eat restaurant meals all the time, there is a large and well-stocked supermarket right next door. We thought at first the location might be problematic when, immediately after arrival, it took us half an hour each way to walk to and from the centre. We quickly discovered there were two very useful bus routes stopping within 100 metres or so of the hotel, with the nearest underground station only 10 minutes walk away. We would certainly stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to friends. Finally, the Stockholm Card which includes entrance to 75 museums and attractions and free travel by public transport is well worth considering. We took the 72 hour version which pretty well paid for itself twice over. -
September 11,2009:
The location of this hotel is great. We didn?t use the metro and as we found the walk up to the hotel to be around 20 minutes from the city centre. The bus takes 5 minutes and is easy to use and is always on time. Its well positioned with ample restaurants and shops around, as well as great links to the other attractions. The service is great, the place is wonderfully clean. The breakfast is brilliant and hits the spot. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The supermarket in the complex is handy as well. However, there is a reason why this hotel does not get 5 stars. I was disappointed with our 'superior' room. There is nothing superior about it. It?s plain. No bar fridge, no robes, nothing that makes the room 'superior'. It is a plain room, with two double beds pushed together to be a king size bed. At least there is a door that opens and lets in the fresh air. For the money, it was not superior. It was just plain. And that was a shame...
