    The hotel is almost in the middle of the city center, its nice furnished and comfortable, so you are just really enjoying return after a long day back into it. Included is also nice breakfast and the staff is also very kind. I can recommend to everybody travelling to Oslo.

    Best Western Anker is a good choice for either business o leisure travel; it's a basic 3 to 4 star hotel in Europe, regarding room size; but one of the good things is they offer buffet breakfast included in the room rate, wich for Oslo prices is a great thing. The hotel is close (half block) to one bus and railbus stop, 5 min walking to main train terminal, in general you feel safe around. The only bad thing i found, they are under remodelation works, so it's a little bit noisy, specially because they start working very early 6:30 am.

    Whilst the hotel is central and a 5-10 minute walk from Oslo Central Station I was not impressed and would not return. As Roaming00 said the hotel is a building site and work starts early. The interior of the hotel has been modified to allow for the building work. The reception and breakfast area looks like something out of the Soviet area. It's dark and glum with plastic chairs and the food was terrible. In additon to having a reasonable location and the hotels relatively cheap rates the staff were very helpful. They offer free broadband which was a decent speed. If they can get the building work right then the hotel stands some chance.

    The hotel is second worst "3 stars" hotel I ever visited after Cleopatra in Cairo Egypt, The hotel extension is under construction, the noise starts at 7 am. The hotel level of cleanness is null, a youth hostel will have a better restaurant than their restaurant, breakfast is disgusting you have to be cancel any form of taste to be able to deal with their breakfast, bathrooms, carpets are filthy that you would hate to touch any, rooms are too small and for two persons in a room, it was hard to move inside the room. Staff is nice but only in smiling, the real service comes only from front desk, internet connection is ok, location is very central that you can walk to anywhere you want, best location, price per night was a big joke, I got a 10 times better service and better room etc?in Norway less in real good hotels.

    I found hotel very expensive in oslo so after a long search this hotel was one of the cheapest I could find. the location was great, within walking distance of the bus station and really close to the city. the breakfast was typical of buffet breakfast in hotels. I really liked this hotel it was clean and neat with nice public areas and reception. Stayed here 2 nights and had no problems with this hotel. We had a nice view of the city from our room.
