  went to osmine for 2 week holiday starting 20th sept this year. we met tommy,gladys,& carol from brum, and jeff and shirley from Reading as these were the only other Brits in the hotel we teamed up to occupy our time as a friendly voice in an ocean of French and German go a long way.There are 120 steps from the hotel reception area to the dining room and no matter how fit you are walking back is extremely difficult. The all inclusive drinks are just vodka and rum. If you want whisky or brandy you have to pay for them. The food is typical german & french in fact no meal we had had any gravy accompaniment whatsoever. The hotel entertainment consisted of guests playing musical chairs for twenty minutes of an evening. The bar at reception only opens from 5pm until midnight so if you don't fancy walking down the steps and down cardiac hill to get a drink tough . The shop is a waste of time there is absolutely nothing in it unless you can read german newspapers. In fact if you have children and are considering a holiday at this hotel please think again your children will thank you for it, in fact if you are thinking of a surprise holiday for a loved one think again cos this hotel could have a serious effect on a relationship. All the details in the brochures regarding this hotel are very misleading, no need to pay a supplement for a sea view room as all rooms face the sea as it is built on a rock. We have been going on holiday abroad for over 20 years and have never encountered a hotel as bad as this. All I can add is thank you Tommy,Gladys,Carol,Jeff and Shirley for making our holiday as memorable as it was.

  Just returned from a week in the Omine. Croatia is beautiul and Dubrovnik well worth a visit. Hotel was clean and all rooms face the sea (so don't be conned into paying a subsidy for a sea view). The bay is lovely for a swim, the water crystal clear, and there are free pedalos & canoes also bicycles to cycle along the coast road to Slano (about 1/2 hour walk), just don't expect a spot to lounge in afterwards (we walked round to the next bay which was lovely and quiet). We were the only english speaking guests, and do not underestimate how isoating this is as all the staff also only speak german. everything about the hotel is geared towards the german guests - food, bar, entertainment, sun loungers etc (they pulled chairs away from us in the bar and even lay coats on the canteen chairs at meal times). Forget the free bus to Dubrovnik - it is fully booked up continually. The local bus in Slano runs fairly regularly in morning and evening,but none between 12:50 and 3:30pm. It is about �4. Taxi to Dubrovnik about �40 one way. There is no shop on site and no cash point and nothing to eat between meal times (not even crisps at bar). Food is standard for these types of hotels (recycled meat and fried potatoes mostly). The steps are not a problem unless you have mobility or breathing difficulties. Would recommend trying the other hotel in slano if you want to stay away from the city for a quiet relaxing break.

  Nous avons pass� de superbes vacances � l'h�tel osmine � SLANO (30 km de DUBROVNIK environ 1 heure de bus - paysage magnifique le long de la c�te adriatique) l'h�tel est situ� dans la baie de SLANO, mer turquoise et transparente (pr�voir chaussures en plastique car il ya des galets et des oursins par endroit). La restauration est d�licieuse et vari�e (viande en sauce, choix divers et poisson tous les jours). 1 piscine petite mais suffisante pour l'h�tel. Possibilit� de faire du p�dalo ou du cano�. V�lo gratuit � dispositio, pratique pour aller au village de Slano situ� � 3 km - randonn�e de 6 km autour de la baie. temp�rature de 36� � l'ombre en aout mais supportable car il y a de l'air au bord de la mer. Vacances inoubliables, personnel de l'hotel tr�s sympa. Seul inconv�nient, beaucoup d'escaliers mais on oublie vite

  Dadurch das das Hotel abgelegen war hatte man einen sehr entspannten Urlaub, dennoch waren es nur ca. 10 min. mit dem Fahrrad bis nach Slano. Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und die Auswahl war gro�, sodass f�r jeden was dabei war. Das ganze Hotel war sehr gepflegt. Alles in allem kann man sagen das man auch jeden Fall dorthin m�sste. Ich w�rde sogar nochmal fahren !
