October 30,2009:
2 moms and four 18 yr old girls from ontario went on a girls week to nassau frm Oct 10- Oct17. I made my reservation through RCI purchasing an extra vacation week -our confirmed unit was a garden villa room #27,it was very clean and recently updated,we where happy with our accommodations. The ladies at the front desk are very good and professional.We where up graded to an ocean villa the next morning, I must thank the front desk staff Claudine and the cleaning staff ,they where so good in helping us with our request to upgrade to an ocean villa. Having stayed in both a garden villa and an ocean villa ..I must say WOW! Both units are excellent!! , But it is the fabulous staff at blue water , everyone we met at the condo is fist class all the way!! So here is my advise: please remember to manage your expectation...This is a timeshare /condo property,not a resort... SO WHAT if you have to buy or pack your groceries, including TP,salt/pepper...be a savy traveller and pack in your suit case some supplies and save a bundle...so WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ? .... Just do it g,o to Blue Water,and smile your on vacation. Next year I'm coming back with my hubby! Cheers! Kim and the girls from Niagara On The Lake On -
October 28,2009:
We stayed in an Ocean 'Villa'. :-( NOT what I was expecting. (a) The bath in the the 2nd floor twin room was badly stained. It was gross even to have to stand in it for a shower. (b) An extractor fan in the 2nd floor twin room ensuite that worked would have been nice! Stifling! (c) Whilst the air conditioning in the 3rd floor room sounded like it was working, the air in the room was warm & stuffy. (d) The door locks/bolts could have been better quality & we had to get someone to open the safe on a few occasions, as it wouldn't open with our code. (e) The private 'beach' was tiny. You could access neighbouring beaches when the tide was out but there was a LOT of debris on the sand. Food wrappers, bits of concrete...watch your bare feet! (f) A sign stated that the complex was under renovation while we were there. I hope they focus on the interior as much as the exterior! (g) If you like early nights or have young kids don't stay here, as the entertainment provided at night is LOUD! (h) And cockroaches in the kitchen. Yeuch! (i) There were LARGE holes/gaps around the plumbing pipes in the bathrooms. (j) If you still decide to stay & you're self-catering, my advice is buy your food on a day-to-day basis, as the island gets power cuts & you don't want to be left with spoiled unused food. (k) If you're dining out, the restaurants nearest the resort are overpriced. Eat in, or eat out at the Fish Fry, which is close to Nassau. (l) Local buses finish at 7.00, so you're stuck using overpriced taxis in the evenings. -
October 22,2009:
This condominium resort should definitely be considered if your looking for more than a hotel room. The villas were very spacious and supplied with every amenity you could possibly need during your stay. The staff at this resort, whether front desk, security, restaurant/bar, were extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Also, there was a wide variety of guests from all over the world. The resort pool and beach area were very cozy and clean. Finally, the resort, located on the Cable Beach strip, was well located -- within walking distance to restaurants, other hotels / casino, grocery store and other shopping. The one down, I have a 14 month old, and the condo stairs / rails are not built to US specs, so we had some child-proofing to do in order to prevent our little one from walking up or down the stairs on his own. If you have older toddlers, say 3 and up, this would not be a concern. One other thing, as this is an older resort complex some units are under renovation. Fortunately, the unit we stayed in had already be renovated. Although this is an older complex it is very well maintained, very clean, and very spacious. The grounds are tropical and well cared for. I give the resort a Very Good overall rating. If offering a Star (*) rating, I would say overall 3.5 out of 5 stars. -

Spent a long weekend here with friends. Solid non-frills resort for travelers looking to enjoy the Bahamas on a budget. Very nice sized 3-level condo with all the amenities a traveler would need. The beach and pool areas are very nice! Appreciated the personal attention and service given to us by the property manager! -
October 14,2009:
The units are HUGE and nicely furnished. We loved having such a big kitchen and a private patio with a barbeque grill. Washer and dryer in the unit was great too. The private beach is beautiful with a good size pool and outdoor tiki bar. The electronics could use some attention as one of our TVs did not work, the blender motor died and none of the TV remotes worked. Aside from that,everything was perfect.
