November 11,2009:
Have just arrived back from Clube Praia da Oura. Absolutely wonderful 2 weeks. Great position as it is just far enough away from the lively night life of the strip, not to keep you awake all night but if you want to go it is just a short walk. However, we found the entertainment here so good that we really wanted to get back to watch it. They had a fabulous singer/comedian on one night called Danny Maverick. His show was very good and was absolutely suited to the audience, music and jokes. Another night we had a drag queen show, which although we weren't sure about before we saw it, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The young lad who worked in the bar where the entertainment was, Cristiano, was a joy and absolutely brilliant with the guests and children alike. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we had intended to eat out for the holiday , we did have breakfast most days it was wonderful! Really enjoyed this holiday, weather was over 22 each day and the beach was a cock stride away.Great! -

I first went with my friend in 2003 and met a wonderful man and now in 2009 he is my husband of 4 years so Clube Praia da Oura is an amazing place, its so clean, friendly & helpful staff, great entertainment for both young and old, my wish is to win the lottery and to be able to buy one of the two bedroom appartments: great place to go for all age groups and so central to eveything, i presume if you are reading this you get the picture of how much i love it and have sent lots of friends there whom also fell in love with the place. -
November 8,2009:
I didn't expect the beginning of November to be so warm (26 deg) but this really helped make the stay even better than I thought. The large balconies that you could sun bathe on were perfect to enjoy the sun and as they are S/C apartments we could have our water, beer and food kept nice and cool while we enjoyed the weather. What I also liked was the competitively priced half board option, especially considering current exchange rates. We stayed as part of a family members time share which helped get some discount on the activities -

We had a great time here at CPO one of the best hotels ever. Was happy with everything our room the facilities everything the weather was great in october/november can't complain we went Self catering but had breakfast everyday as it was lovely. Entertainment was good for kids and adults it was always busy good atmosphere in hotel. Loads to do around resort the beach is lovely great sand not man made real mccoy! Will be going back here quite expensive for transfer with Taxi's from aiport as it is 55 euro on a Saturday about 35 euros for mid week??? So we got the bus to faro train station and got the train and in total cost 15 euro? but a long process so if you need to sort transfers out before you go i would sugges.That is all down side as if your like us we refuse to pay 55 quid for a taxi.We arranged it through the hotel on the way back and it was 35 euros. We had a great holiday and we will be back. -
November 4,2009:
Chose to stay here for a last minute week on holiday as it had good reviews online.....we were not disappointed. The apartments are located a stones throw from the beach and the views/ sun sets are fab. The rooms are very very clean and our room was cleaned and fresh towels left four times during our stay. The apartment has everything you could possibly need i.e microwave, kettle, toaster, juicer, cooker, utensils, tv, hairdryer,etc The complex puts on entertainment every night although it might become a bit repetitive after a week or two. The main strip is only a 5-10 min walk away which is packed with shops, restaurants and bars and you can book numerous different trips at reception which are not expensive. We would recommend the historical tour...it lasts all day but is very good and you visit a local portuguese restaurant in the mountains which has food to die for and is very very cheap! The only negative (not really a big deal) is that the studio had a single bed in the living area with a second single bed which could be pulled out from underneath and put up on collapsable legs. This meant there was no room to move around the living area. This wasnt really a problem for us and we just folded them away in the morning. The swimming pool seemed very busy even at this time of year and towels across the sun loungers were a common sight even before 9am! There is a fan in the room which was great as it was still quite warm for this time of year but it would be of no use in the peak summer months and there is no air con in any rooms. **the only thing i would recommend is...when booking request that your room is located in the main building and not the annex. The annex is further away from the beach, pool, bar, etc . Would definitely recommend this place!!
