Let's start with the ships, of which there are five classes, depending on which of the 130 destinations you choose. Each has its own style but all boast a signature Viking Crown lounge with a 360 degree view, so you really know you're on a cruise. Inside you also have four types of stateroom from which to choose from an interior stateroom to a suite.

But at Royal Caribbean it's really all about the activities and these are truly innovative. All enjoy a Fitness Centre, a Ship-Shape Spa and an exciting FlowRider, surfing experience plus a rock-climbing wall. Most offer mini golf and a cinema and some even have an ice-skating rink, both for you to have a go and to watch the professionals in the nightly ice shows.   

And of course the choice continues with your food and drink. As well as the main dining room, serving five course meals, you can choose a speciality restaurant, perhaps Italian, or Asian cuisine? Or you can choose to eat more informally in an alfresco café or Johnny Rockets 50's diner. Popping out for a quick drink also takes some deciding upon, do you fancy the Champagne bar, want to watch a match at the sports bar or take part in a pub quiz your local?

And it's a great choice for families from toddlers to teens as Royal Caribbean sets themselves apart from other cruise liners by offering their Adventure Ocean Youth Programme for babies from just 6 months old and upwards. Of course every single member of staff in the club is fully qualified.
