The main thing is there are no dress codes, no set times for dinner and the crew from the British Captains down are friendly and low key, making Island Cruises a sound choice for first time cruisers.
There's plenty of life and entertainment onboard with a gym, spa and of course on deck pools. And the ships are very much geared for families with en-suite cabins sleeping up to four comfortably. The kids' clubs are for ages 3-11 and include The Breakfast Club where kids go off and enjoy breakfast with their new mates. Plus children's menus are available in all onboard restaurants.
There's plenty of choice for the adults too with at least three restaurants including a buffet which opens 24 hours. And the team prides themselves on a daily changing menu, which often reflects the places you are visiting. In fact while you're off exploring the local sights, the chef's team are scouring the markets for fresh local produce.
In the evenings entertainment is bright and fun including West End style shows, comedians flown in from the UK and a casino to rival Vegas. There's even a pub if you just fancy a pint!
So if you're looking for a little bit more than your usual Mediterranean beach holiday, then Island Cruises offers the best of both worlds.
